This is a hands-on guide to doing 360* performance reviews via the custom survey module as foundation for development plans. This is for inspiration - you can adjust your own internal process however you’d like.

Process (manager POV)

  1. Figure out what topics, domain specifics, or other (changes in) questions you would like.
  2. Figure out who should review who.
  3. Create one survey within the platform to use as template (if you want to change the order of the questions from what I did in the template)
  4. Duplicate the template survey for each individual that will be reviewed.
    1. Add those employees as respondents who will review this person.
    2. Edit domain descriptions and “NAME”
  5. Introduce it to the employees - how do you provide feedback, how do you see a 0 and a 10, how to know what is actually important feedback to give
  6. When ready, send out the surveys
  7. Share results with the individual employee before your development talk
  8. Prepare for your development talks
    1. Make a template in Admin panel —> Journal settings —> Summary text box to make sure you are all aligned on the contents of these talks.
    2. Look at the employee’s results and reflect what points you believe are the most important for them to work on in the upcoming 3-6 months.
    3. Create a Journal for the employee and add your personal notes.
  9. Have the actual development talk and add goals + agreements based on your talk.
